Our programme

Six workstreams built on the offices provided for by the statute (art. 11.3) and on the activities of general interest (art. 3.2). The programme is submitted to the Steering Council, which sets the multi-year objectives.

  • Quaderni Polimnia: two volumes a year on faith and the contemporary world and on the new model of development.
  • An observatory on the demographic emergency and on integration and security as inseparable goals (art. 3.2).
  • An annual report on subsidiarity in local communities, prepared with the Scientific Committee.

School of Training and Network of Local Administrators

  • An annual course for local administrators: public budgets, confiscated assets, active citizenship.
  • Residential seminars on the social teaching of the Church applied to public policy.
  • A network of administrators to exchange good practice and peer advice.

Nursery for young people and university students

  • Scholarships and internships with partner organisations in Italy and abroad.
  • A European summer school with foundations of the popular and Christian-social tradition.
  • Two-way communication labs: young people propose, the Foundation listens and responds.

Care for creation and heritage

  • Cultural and religious itineraries that value the landscape.
  • Projects to regenerate unused public property or assets confiscated from organised crime.

Cooperation and peace

  • Cooperation projects with church and civil partners in the countries migrants come from.
  • School programmes on legality, peace and non-violence.

Network of foundations

Art. 3.3 · Collaboration with organisations, universities and foundations

  • Cooperation agreements to propose to the Istituto Luigi Sturzo, the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung, the Istituto Jacques Maritain and the Fondazione Silvio Spaventa.
  • An annual conference in Rome with the network partners.

Institutional calendar

Milestones

  1. Deed of incorporation

    Established in Rome before notary Elena Signori; first Board of Directors appointed.

  2. Legal personality

    Application to the Prefecture of Rome, entrusted to the Chair (deed, art. 8).

  3. Appointment of the bodies

    Steering Council, Scientific Committee and Supervisory Body.

  4. First annual accounts

    Approval by the Assembly of Founders (statute art. 6.3).

  5. End of the first Board’s term

    The Board appointed by the deed remains in office on a transitional basis until this date (deed, art. 5).
